Catherine Sepulveda, LMFT

Catherine Sepulveda is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She currently serves the San Fernando Valley and is credentialed with Kaiser Permanente. She received her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Cal Baptist University. She has experience in various modalities such as individual, educational groups and family therapy. Catherine has provided services in multiple mental health settings to a diverse wide range population such as: Victims of Crime program, First Five program (certified in PCIT), Crisis Stabilization Unit (Behavioral Health hospital), and drug treatment center (out-patient/in-patient) settings. Catherine was recently trained in EMDR and hopes to continue her experience by becoming a certified EMDR therapist. 

 

Catherine uses multiple approaches depending on her client’s needs and goals which include psychodynamic, humanistic, solution-focused and structural family therapy. Catherine strives to help clients gain insight and skills needed to be successful in functioning with day-to-day activities. Her clinical interests include trauma, adjustment, resilience, anxiety and depression. Catherine’s life experience provides her with greater compassion and a deeper understanding of client’s struggles, adversities and journey to healing. Catherine’s goal is to meet clients were they are at on their journey and to help them move forward in their own healing by providing them with tools, support, education, guidance and a safe space.
